Background

The Criterion Channel is an independent streaming service that features an eclectic mix of classic and contemporary films from Hollywood and around the world.

Streaming platforms continue to experience remarkable growth, driven by changing consumer preferences, and an ever-expanding library of content.

As streaming services continue to grow, maintaining a high-quality user experience becomes increasingly crucial. A seamless, intuitive, and engaging user experience is essential for retaining subscribers. This includes easy navigation and a user-friendly interface that caters to all age groups and technical abilities.

The Approach

The main challenge was satisfying two objectives—increasing conversions while designing the best possible experience for the end user. To tackle this, I have essentially started by understanding what worked from the current version of the site and designing based on those learnings.

From the collected data, I want to seamlessly drive conversions while improving the browsing experience. With consultations with engineers and after much trial and error, I was able to create an enhanced landing page to drive conversions.
